Crying rn. I was talking with my mum about my writing and I tell her that one of my MC's is just a normal guy but that idk how to write them. She excitedly offers to take me to the library to observe the people there. Then she gives me a golden piece of advice, "Just make friends with one (a normal person) so you can study them. They don't have many interests so just don't talk much." I said wtf mom and she explains that she spent her entire childhood watching people and taking notes on them from afar. I asked if she ever actually talked to them and she said no, why would I do that? 😭 Girl, you wonder why I am the way that I am. Is my mom even real?

eh, put the britishcisms in the fics. life is short. thai people write fanfic about american shows and make it super thai centered, also, bc that's what people who write fanfic FOR FREE do. they use their own life as inspo. like obviously it's good to put effort into learning about another culture, but at the end of the day fanfic is for fun, so it's not the end of the world if something is wrong. surely you've read fic where people get britain wrong? people get america wrong all the time too. peace and love etc
